To lay the foundation for the study of the Lotus Sutra's thought, which represents the early Mahayana texts, especially Kumārajīva’s translation, Myōhō-renge-kyō, 鳩摩羅什訳『妙法蓮華経』 among the Chinese translations of the Lotus Sutra, we are promoting empirical research from a philological and linguistic perspective on this original text, the Saddharmapuṇḍarīka manuscript.
